BASS/BARITONE AND TRUMPETER
Since 1998 I have been a gigging trumpeter. I
have toured to Norway, France and Italy with jazz and concert bands and played at the Royal Albert Hall on two occasions as part of the series of 'Making Waves' concerts. I was a regular member of the Merton Youth Concert Band between 1998 and 2002 and performed several times at the All England Tennis Championships at Wimbledon. I continued to play whilst studying, and in 2008 I played principal trumpet in the pit for 'Mother Goose' at Aberystwyth Arts Centre - the highest grossing pantomime in Wales.
For A-Level Music I specialised as a singer, attaining a distinction in my Associated Board Grade Eight exam. I gained experience singing in Italian and German. In 2006 I was invited to become a founder member of the Wales-based vocal harmony group 'Sgarmes' - an adaptable concert choir comprising of between four and sixteen members depending on the requirements of their booking. Their repetoire has expanded to include over a hundred jazz, musical theatre, barbershop, hymnal and christmas standards.
